The founding member of the firm, Gary Carlin is one of the most seasoned employment law attorneys in California. Gary has been practicing law since 1970, having established his own practice in 1977 and guiding the Law Offices of Gary R. Carlin into one of the largest and most respected employment litigation firms in Southern California. With his unique focus and expertise in the plight of employees, Gary provides the experience and resources to offer his clients new chances in life and at work. In 50 years of practicing law, Gary has obtained verdicts, judgments, awards, and settlements of cases at a present value of over $100,000,000 for his clients.
Gary has an amazing range of legal experience and has gained a reputation for reliability and strong ethics, previously advising the Supreme Court of the State of California on matters of attorney discipline and serving on multiple committees and panels statewide. After law school, Gary worked at the Law Offices of C. Ransom Samuelson, the first attorney to ever obtain a jury verdict in excess of $100,000 in Los Angeles County. He later became a partner in the firm before establishing his practice. Gary has the highest possible rating by the gold standard of rating services, known as Martindale-Hubbell/Lawyer.com. His Martindale-Hubbell rating is "AV Preeminent," the very highest and best possible rating or achievement, which places him at the very top both nationwide and in the state of CA of his profession of practicing law according to his peers, judges, arbitrators, mediators, and attorneys.

Background

Gary is a native of Southern California, born in Los Angeles and graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles with an B.A. in History. He then moved north to complete his education at the University of California at Hastings College of Law in San Francisco and became licensed to practice law in the State of California in 1970.
